"True Love"???

How can love not be true? If we embrace this term, we implicitly embrace that there is another kind of love - a "false love", based on feelings, sensuality, and emotions. “False love” is the worlds’ definition of love - a perverted shadow of the only love that is possible - that is, God's love. Love is not possible absent of the presence of God; outside of His presence are only unnatural affections. The world has been blinded to this understanding, and would outright reject this premise of love, by reason of rebellion alone.

A shadow is formed when light is cast upon an object, residing directly behind the object in which the light is being cast. It is a projected form of the object being illuminated. These affections are that shadow that hides behind the object being illuminated when the light of truth is cast upon it. It is selfish, directed only to the object of interest, and is limited in scope while absent of depth. It is truly a form of godliness, (2Tim3:1-7) - yet denying its power. While the rebellious world can conceptualize the concept of how a shadow is formed, it lacks the ability for realizing that it is precisely the rebellious nature of the flesh that forms the barrier around which the shadow of unnatural affections is cast.

Those for whom the light does not reside cannot face the light of truth - they turn away due to its strength and intensity. Interestingly enough, the direction they turn is always in the direction the shadow is cast. It is within the realm of this shadow that those shameful things done in secret are committed (Eph5: 8-14). It is the form of godliness that misleads the lost into believing that the person before you loves you with Godly love - only to find out that are just manipulating you. It is the form of love that only shows during worship services - the kind where if you happen to be in the person’s shadow, they love you; out of that shadow, you aren't even a second thought. Also, consider the reason why they have turned in your direction to begin with - they have secret thoughts, ulterior motives, where you are a means to an end and nothing more. These are perverted expressions of a type of affection that have no place within the body of Christ, yet sadly seems to be prevalent.

God's love is the light that shines bright in each and every one of us in whom the Holy Spirit resides; if the light does not emanate from His believers, then they are casting a shadow. We are either emitting light, or projecting darkness. This is dangerous in the church!!! Just as there was no darkness in Christ, there should also be no darkness within the body. God wants his light shown to all, such that those in darkness may turn and be lead out of darkness. How may the lost see if there is no light to lead them? And what hope is there for them who come to the tabernacle, seeking the light of truth, and are engulfed in shadows? To those who walk in the light, continue to do so, such that God may obtain glory through your loving obedience to his will. To those who do not - repent, so that His marvelous light may be shown to all, or be removed, such that His light can shine forth.
